Licensed Naturopathic Doctors are trained at 4-year, doctoral-level naturopathic medical schools accredited by the U.S. Department of Education.  Training includes 2 years of basic sciences and 2 years of clinically-based education and internship, a model very similar to the training of an MD.  Licensed Naturopathic Doctors are the only providers with a physician-level, 4-year, clinically-based education that focuses on health, wellness and disease prevention.
